Saturday 7th February

The training for the Half Iron Man continues and I have noticed that my strength training is helping me with my running and cycling.  The good news is that I feel stronger but the bad news is that my feelings fluctuate between “I am going to do this” to “why am I doing this?”.  The cold and windy weather over the past few days is making it harder however I am determined to fight through this bout of lack of confidence.

So today I am running 15k in my new trainers.  Hopefully I will do this in 1 hour and 15 minutes and then I’m off to swimming training.  This is my weakest area but the good news is that I can now put my head into the water – yippee!

The England Rugby team winning last night against Wales (sorry hubby!) has inspired me to run and swim well today.

Then I need to get ready for the big 50k cycle tomorrow………
